When stuck for ideas, garlic butter never fails to create an amazing dish. This herby, garlicky, roasted plaice is an absolute treat. Serve it up with some chips and salad.
Ingredients
-
1 whole plaice, 500-750g
-
60g butter, softened
-
10g parsley
-
10g basil
-
5g chives
-
5 large garlic gloves
-
1 lemon, juiced and zested
-
1tbsp olive oil
Directions
Preheat the oven to 220C. In a blender, add all the herbs, garlic, lemon juice and the zest. Blend into a paste, slowly drizzling the olive oil in to help emulsify the paste into a sauce. Add the butter and blend until evenly mixed.
Pat the plaice with kitchen towel then slather over the butter. Line a baking tray with baking paper, then add the plaice. Roast for 15 minutes, remove, then rest for five minutes
Gently pull the meat off the fish with a fork and serve with chips. Enjoy
