Inshore day boat fishermen catch considerable amounts of fish that, to date, have had no market in the UK. Currently it is sold at market to large processors in Europe at very low prices.

The time and energy our fleet put into catching a 200g Dover Sole is no different to the prime 500g sole so we at Pesky, as is our nature, decided to rip up the rule book, scratch our heads for ideas and came up with the idea of the Pesky fish pie. Yes we know the fish pie isn't new but the idea that the fish used is all British and all from our precious inshore fleet has never been done before!

No more Norwegian salmon and Icelandic cod, now we celebrate the dab, the flounder, the whiting and more. Follow the recipe from Angus Bell and you can't go wrong or why not go all Pesky on us, go your own way but be sure to send us a pic!! Fish pie is as reassuring as food gets but it will warm your cockles even more knowing it's giving back much more money to the Pesky fishermen!
